BootCamp Overview

BootCamp Strategy

Churches planted using a proven and intentional system have 90 percent survival rate after 5 years; while Assemblies of God churches that do not, have only a 50 percent survival.

Each BootCamp includes the following strategic components.

  • Assessment training: Equips a team of assessors to help the district, church, and planter know if they have the gifting, call, and experience to make a successful planter.
  • Coaches training: Highly effective coaching techniques are taught to prepare an individual to coach a planter. The coach fills a critical role of equipper, encourager, and safety net.
  • Church Planter Training: A week long strategic planning event prepares the planter for the birthing and maturing of a church. The planter will be equipped to recruit and mobilize workers, communicate vision, and be a strategic planner.
  • Church Health Component: For plateaued or declining churches that desire to restore or renew their vision, strategy, and passion.
  • Churches Reproducing Churches: Equips churches to successfully parent a church so that both parent and daughter church mutually benefit.

Recent BootCamp Feedback

"I can't thank you enough for all the preparation and organization you did to make our first New York BootCamp a tremendous success!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Everyone I talked to said they were blessed, equipped and inspired. You and your team of facilitators are uniquely gifted to help develop new church planters and inspire existing pastors. We look forward to our next BootCamp in 2009 with great anticipation."

BootCamp FAQ

What is a BootCamp?

BootCamp is an intense four-day workshop that prepares people to plant new churches or revitalize existing churches. The goal is to produce strong, healthy, reproducing churches. You will receive practical skills training under the guidance of a team of facilitators and coaches.

Your training takes place in two phases: 1) Pre-work and 2) BootCamp. The bulk of your BootCamp Pre-work is in BootCamp journal. IT TAKES 6 WEEKS TO COMPLETE THE PRE-WORK. Be sure to purchase your BootCamp Kit as soon as you register and start your prework immediately! Click here to purchase your BootCamp Kit.

At BootCamp, we help answer six important questions:

  • What Does God Want to Do? (What is His vision for the community?)
  • Who Am I? (How will my gifts, skills, values and leadership style affect this ministry?)
  • What Am I Sent to Do? (What is my specific assignment in this community?)
  • Who Will Do It With Me? (How do I gather and recruit people to fulfill God's vision?)
  • How Will We Do It? (What steps will we take to start a healthy church?)
  • How Will We Evaluate Our Progress? (Are we accomplishing what God wants us to do?)

Church Health Training - What will I learn?

  • Life cycles dynamics
  • Why a church moves from incline to recline to decline
  • How to avoid recline and decline
  • How to extend the vitality of your church
  • How to lead change
  • How to resolve conflict

What are the prerequisites?

  • Pray and ask God to give you clear direction and a creative anointing.
  • Participants must complete the pre-work for the track they will attend. (The pre-work is part of your BootCamp journal. You need 6 weeks to complete the pre-work.)
  • We strongly encourage spouses to participate!
